Dear Readers,
After many weeks of reading, hard work, and collaboration, Paper Dragon’s sixth Volume: Friendship, is finally complete. We’re delighted to be able to send it to you here, as both a PDF and an EPUB, to give you something enjoyable and, hopefully, inspiring, to cozy up with in the final short winter days of 2023.

As we come to the end of the year, and the release of Volume Six, we’re already starting to think about our next summer issue, Volume Seven! Before I say anything else, here’s the full scoop from Managing Editors Tori Chase and Seth Kazmar:
Paper Dragon is excited to announce that we will be open to long-form submissions for Volume Seven. The submissions period will be open from January 15 to April 15, 2024. In the absence of a theme, the word count maximum limit will be increased to 2,000 words for Fiction. Nonfiction will remain at 1,000 words maximum and 250 words for poetry. We will also be welcoming more readers from our first-year MFA students.
Just a little more news: Our new website will launch on Tuesday, December 26, and I, for one, am very excited to see it!
From all of us at Paper Dragon, we send our warmest wishes for a pleasant season, however you happen to spend it, and a happy new year.
And, as usual, from my keyboard to yours, I wish you the best of luck and many happy hours of writing.
Best regards,
Eleanor Keisman
